Losing your lower legs is terrible. But isn't as bad as spinal cord paralysis/paraplegia.

I dont care what others say or think about the story, L liked it all. I am disabled and spinal cord damage, so any story I read and get an erection reading, ha its a hot one for me, thanks for the mornin wood.

Unlike nerves of the spinal cord, the peripheral nerves that connect our limbs and organs to the central nervous system have an astonishing ability to regenerate themselves after injury so yes the optic nerve can regenerate because eyes are an organ of the visual system and the brain is an organ of the nervous system.

But I still enjoy reading about sex, even if I can't do anything about it. I've read most of your stories, and enjoy them more than most authors'.

Thanks for the comment. All spinal injuries are not created equally. The injured person described is fictional, although based upon some real life experiences. One, a cousin of mine who never lost his sense of humor, was as you described - able to use a motorized wheel chair and even drove with the addition of hand controls (paraplegic), however the other was as I described - bedridden.

An individual with an injury at C1 (the highest cervical vertebra, at the base of the skull), will probably lose function from the neck down and be ventilator-dependent. An individual with a C7 injury may lose function from the chest down but still retain use of the arms and much of the hands.

Second paragraph, 'struck a cord', it should be spelled chord, not cord. The phrase uses the musical term chord, not the one that means string.

The first five of chapters Spinal Meningitis were good but after that it suffered tremendously.
