Couple of things. 1. 1000 pounds would only be 20 bundles of shingles> One summer while in college to be in shape for fall sports I worked for a roofer. I was the mule bringing up bundles on the ladder as the power belts had not been invented. It was about 150 per roof as these were small houses.
