When it comes to managing and treating severe pain, many doctors prescribe medications like hydrocodone or Vicodin. Unfortunately, this can lead to problems down the road, one of them being addiction. Another drug that’s often used for pain relief is M365, which – despite its effectiveness – can also quickly go from medication to recreational drug. Below is more on what M365 is and its dangers. What Is the M365 Drug? An opioid analgesic that comes from a modified codeine molecule, M365 has a similar structure to morphine and codeine, two other commonly prescribed opioids for pain. M365 is a common opioid medication on the market, so it’s no surprise that it’s become a common source of addiction. M365 is made of hydrocodone and acetaminophen. It’s often prescribed as a pain relief for those suffering from moderate to severe pain that was caused by an injury or other reason. The generic form of M365 is a familiar one: Vicodin. This drug comes as a white, capsule-shaped pill. It’s often prescribed to individuals with back pain to get some relief from their symptoms. Due to its potency and strength, the medication is considered a narcotic and is classified as a Schedule II substance. There are also different variants of this drug according to color and strength: V 36 05 ("orange pill" - 325 mg) Watson 502 ("pink pill" - 650 mg) Watson 540 ("blue pill" - 500 mg) Watson 853 ("yellow pill" - 325 mg) It’s common for pain medications to contain both an opioid (hydrocodone, in this case) and an over-the-counter pain reliever (acetaminophen) to create a strong yet safer formulation. Even so, because M365 contains an opioid, the risk of dependence and addiction is very much a danger.Questions about our Facilities or Programs? Our admissions coordinators are available 24/7 to answer any questions you may have as you consider whether treatment at Banyan is right for you or your loved one.M365 Effects As with any medication, M365 can cause side effects. The medication works by attaching to opioid receptors in the brain, spinal cord, and other parts of the body. This blocks the pain signaling from the body to the brain, relieving the individual’s symptoms.
