PetCare Rx also has almost everything a pet owner could need for their furry friends, from leashes and collars to furniture and grooming supplies. Dogs and cats only It's worth noting that they only offer products for cats and dogs - those looking for fish food or snake terrariums might need to look somewhere else. PetCare Rx offers an automatic delivery program, but unlike other retailers, they don't offer any discounts for orders set up as auto-ship purchases. However, they are connected with a real pharmacy, meaning you can get all your medications, even prescription pet meds with PetCare Rx, so long as it's only for a dog or cat. Pricing is significantly higher than competition In terms of pricing, we looked at a long-term medication, a short-term or one-time medication, and a preventative/maintenance product that doesn't require a prescription at PetCare Rx to compare prices with competitors. For the long-term option, we looked at Revolution Plus topical solution for cats to prevent and kill fleas, ticks, and ear mites. At PetCare Rx, Revolution Plus is sold in a three-dose package for $74.72, which is smaller than the six-dose packages offered by competitors, and not as cheap as the 6-dose packages either. For the short-term option, we looked at Meloxicam Oral Liquid for Dogs which is used regularly for managing arthritis pain. This medication costs $50 for a single 15ml bottle which is close to the price of a 90ml bottle at competitors, making it more expensive by far. For the preventative product, we looked at the Purina Dentalife dog treats for dental care. These cost $17.32 which is more than double the price compared to other options in this review.
